Om trishul pendant

Om, often written ॐ, is honoured in Hinduism as the greatest of all mantras and is also used in Buddhist and Jain ritual. Hindus chant it at the beginning and end of prayers, readings and meditation, and its three sounds, a-u-m, have been explained as standing for triads such as the three worlds and the three Vedas. One whole Upanishad, the Mandukya, is devoted to it, and from the 6th century the written sign was used to open texts.
