Details

In Norse myth, Odin kept two ravens, Huginn and Muninn, names usually translated as ‘thought’ and ‘memory’. The poem Grímnismál says they flew out over the world every day, and in it Odin admits that he fears Huginn may not come home, but fears still more for Muninn. The ravens were said to perch on Odin’s shoulders, and they came back each day to bring him news of the world.

Ring sizes

Our ring sizes are EU sizes: the number is the inside circumference in millimetres. The table gives the UK and US equivalents and the inside diameter.

52L½616.6 mm
54N717.2 mm

Find your size at home

  1. With a ring that fits: measure straight across the inside, edge to edge, and find that diameter in the table.
  2. Without a ring: wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps and measure the strip flat. That length in millimetres is your EU size.
  3. Measure at the end of the day and at room temperature: fingers are slightly larger in the evening and smaller in the cold.

Between two sizes, take the larger one. For wide bands of 6 mm or more, go one size up. If your knuckle is much wider than the base of your finger, choose a size between the two measurements.
